TITLE: WOMEN’S ROLE IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
ABSTRACT: Women shares half of the world population but the participation of women in the working of this society is very low. From the making of internal and external policies to the execution the participation of the women is very minimal. Sustainable Development as per the Brundtland Report: “Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” The future of all is only in the hands of male population is heart breaking. The first teacher of human being is mother and the role of women is far more than just bringing up her child and preparing delicious food in the kitchen for the family. The need of the hour is to give women the same importance what we are giving to the males of the society. Women’s participation is crucial but it is not possible to without including women in policy making and execution of the same. Women needs to be educated, trained and very importantly liberate for the active participation.
In this presentation the presenter will focus on the role of women in Sustainable development. The methodology of the paper is qualitative and both primary and secondary data will be used for the research.
